Alvarado In Class Writing #2

a. Pathos (emotion)Hey man what's going on? Listen you have to join Facebook because almost everyone is using it now and it enlarges our ways of communication. There's so much to do on there and we can chat with each other, which is a lot faster than texting! Well I'll see you on Facebook later buddy, have fun!

b.Ethos() Hi Ms. Bradley, hope you're doing alright, haven't seen you since sophomore year of high school. Facebook? That's not something I'd recommend to join. All it is, is people posting what they're doing every second of the day. It's really frustrating that people think everyone else wants to know what they're doing 24/7. That is why I stopped using it and only occasionally get on it. Well it was nice seeing you again and I hope my advice helps out. Have a good day Ms. Bradley!

c.Pathos (emotion) Hey uncle Steve how's it going? Listen now that I'm off to college we don't really talk anymore. You should really join Facebook because it's a really great way to stay in touch. We can chat on there, talk to each other on the webcam, or just post on our wall and have daily conversations. Just because we're far away from each other doesn't mean that we can't stay close. That's why you need to join. I promise you won't regret the decision of joining Facebook.

In Class Writting #1 Alvarado

1) I use it the second I wake up
  • Alarm clock, ipod as an alarm clock
  • My laptop in classes
  • Use my phone to text to see who wants to grab a bite to eat, hang out, etc.
  • Music on my ipod/laptop while doing hw
2) Technology is a common thing now, in today's society. They're not devices that we need most of the time, but they definitely make life easier. We have gotten so used to technology though, that most people would thing that we couldn't survive without it.

3) Technology has greatly impacted the way we think, read, or write. You can basically find any kind of information on the internet, which means less thinking. There's e-books now that you can use to read and a computer to type instead of write, or even a tablet.

4)Not too sure what it means.

5)
  • Being familiar with technology
  • Growing up with it
  • When a grandparent or an elderly person asks you for help setting up some device because they know you can do it.'
6) Technology wasn't used that often before the 80's so they aren't that very familiar with it. Most likely if a person is born before the 80's they'll be a digital immigrant. My grandma has never even touched a computer.
